Stirling University’s first in-person graduation was held to much fanfare on Friday 1st April with a total of 719 students graduating.
Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University Sir Gerry McCormac said that: “Everyone at the University is looking forward to celebrating with our graduands, and their families and friends, on campus.”
In amongst the 719 graduates were two honorary graduates, Catriona Matthew OBE and Professor Sir Ian Boyd FRS, receiving honorary doctorates for their outstanding contributions in their chosen fields.
Sir Gerry McCormac honoured Matthew for “her outstanding contribution to women’s golf” and Boyd for “his outstanding contribution to environmental science.”
