Gerry Son & the Smokin’ Gun will be hosting a gig on November 6, at Birds N Bees, Stirling, in order to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice.

The band have spoken of the big part the hospice have played in their lives whilst growing up in Denny and Stirling, and mentioned the “incredible staff” who “have been there to take care for our family members and give support to our families when we were most vulnerable”.

The charity is said have a fundraising goal of £14,632 every day in order to maintain the service they provide. In order to support this, the band have also released a charity single, titled ‘Slàinte Mhath’. It is dedicated to “all the loved ones we have lost over the pandemic and encourages you raise a glass to their memory”.

As well as a performance from the Stirling band themselves, there will also be the chance to see up-and-coming young talent from across the Forth Valley area, as well as established artists.

There are prizes to be won in a charity raffle, which have been generously donated by local businesses such as ‘Top Mark Tattoo’ and ‘Brown Bear Barbershop’.

Tickets are £5 each, available from either Gerry Son & The Smokin’ Gun facebook page, or in store via their sponsors (Top Mark Tattoo, Joanie’s Music, Brown Bear Barbershop and Salon & Penny’s Patisserie).

Please note that a promotional video will be shot during the charity fundraiser night. It will be likely that attendees will appear in it. This is due to be released in December with all money raised going directly to Strathcarron Hospice.
