This simple six ingredient banana bread is easy to make and delicious.
Banana bread is a perfect snack whether its for breakfast with a cup of tea or a light treat before bed, therefore having a good recipe is absolutely essential.
This easy to follow recipe is guaranteed to give you amazing results every time!
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- ⅓ cup of unsalted melted butter
- A pinch of salt
- ⅓ cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 ½ cups of self rising flour
Method:
- Start off by preheating the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Then melt the butter and add it into the bowl.
- Add the salt, sugar and beaten egg.
- Finally, sieve and mix in the flour.
- Pour the batter into a buttered loaf tin and bake for 50 minutes or until you can put a knife into the center and pull out clean.
This can be easily modified and still taste great, whether to make it sugar free by omitting the sugar or, for those with a sweet tooth, you can step it up by throwing in some chocolate chips.
