Nowadays all writing is done on the computer keyboard. Assignment? computer. Form? computer. Job application? Yeah…computer. And so on and so forth.
Even writing this article, I convey my ideas through the computer keyboard. But what about handwriting? Is pen-to-paper forgotten? Well, yes.
The once-revered art of handwriting has morphed into the awkward cousin at the family gathering – present, but largely ignored! And it’s not like the downfall of handwriting was sudden; the skill of pen to paper is seen as useful as a screen door on a submarine!
Computer typing has stolen the show, shoving handwriting to wallow in the shadow like a neglected relic. Not yet completely obsolete, handwriting is not held in the same esteem as other forms of communication are.
The Pen’s Revenge: Striking Back Against the Typing Tyranny

While keyboards bask in their ‘ergonomic glory’, the age-old tradition of pens and pencils is staging revenge, armed with ink and a penchant for mischief.
Pen and paper defy the tyranny of bright computer screens and monotonously dreadful Times New Roman font. The handwritten note rebels against uniform letters with its curls and defiant loops.
There’s nothing more aesthetically pleasing than cursive letters. Take that, QWERTY!
The Autocorrect Catastrophe: From Ducking to Donuts

Let’s face it: autocorrect is the unsung villain of the digital age. While typing may offer the convenience of speed, it comes at a cost—a cost measured in hilariously inappropriate corrections.
From “ducking” to “doughnuts” autocorrect keeps us on our toes. Every message is turned into a game of linguistic roulette. Handwriting may be slower, but at least you’ll never accidentally invite someone to “pickleball” instead of “picnic”!
The Joy of Interpretation: Deciphering Hieroglyphics

Welcome to the cryptic world of horrendous handwriting. Every word is a puzzle waiting to be solved. Is that an “e” or an “o”? A “t” or a “f”? Who knows!
Deciphering handwriting is like playing detective. A detective complete with a magnifying glass and a trusty sidekick. And just when you think you’ve cracked the code, along comes a loop-de-loop that puzzles you back to square one.
It’s the ultimate brain teaser: a side of frustration and a sprinkle of laughter.
The Artistic Expressions: Scribbles and Doodles

Handwriting isn’t just about conveying words: it’s a canvas for creativity! Little doodles in the margins, smiley faces dotting about. Each stroke is a unique masterpiece.
Forget about emojis: handwritten notes are built-in emoticons. Ranging from the classic smiley face to the indecipherable squiggle. They could mean anything from “read this!” to “I accidentally spilt coffee on this page.”
The Power of the Pen: From Eviction notices to shopping Lists

In a world of digital noise, handwritten notes are a neon sign in a sea of grey.
Whether it’s a damming eviction notice or a half-baked shopping list scribbled on the back of a napkin, handwriting carries a personal touch. It’s the difference between receiving a heartfelt message and getting lost in the endless scroll of a text thread.
Grab a pen and let your personality shine—typos and all!
Long Live the Scribble!

Handwriting may be a relic of the past, but it’s a relic worth preserving. So put down the keyboard and pick up a pen and paper.
Take notes for research, scribble away ideas, start the first draft! Embrace the messiness, celebrate the imperfections, and revel in the simple nature of putting ink onto paper. Long live the scribble, the unsung hero of communication!
