Dominating the game throughout in front of a raucous Parkhead, Celtic took the lead in the 17th minute. Liam Scales rose highest from an Arne Engels corner, powering his header past Dominick Takac in the Bratislava goal.
Celtic continued to dominate after the goal with Kyogo Furuhashi having multiple chances to extend the lead. The easiest of the lot, a strike from 6 yards out, ballooning over the net, failing to test Takac in goal.

Only two minutes into the second half, and Celtic doubled their advantage. A crafty run from the in-form Nicolas Kuhn was tapped home at the goal-line by Furuhashi, who could not miss.
To compile further misery for Bratislava, 10 minutes later, Alistair Johnston was pulled back in the box by Ignatenko. Celtic were awarded a penalty which was swiftly converted by Arne Engels, all but wrapping up the tie.
Bratislava, out of nowhere, cut the lead to two. A fantastic ‘trivela’ finish by Kevin Wimmer nestled into Kasper Schmeichels top right hand corner, giving the travelling away support a brief moment of celebration as Bratislava scored their first ever goal in the Champions league.
Almost instantaneously, the Bratislava fans smiles faded. A sweeping finish from the right hand side of the box by Daizen Maeda saw Celtic extend the lead back up to three.
Finally, With three minutes to go, Adam Idah rubbed-stamped Celtics impressive performance. A deft touch past a helpless Dominick Takac gave Celtic their fifth.
