Palestinian Children’s Art and Poetry Exhibition Coming To Stirling

1 min read

An exhibition of art, poems and a film screening installation created by Palestinian children in Gaza will be on display upstairs at the Creative Stirling Venue from June 19 to July 17.

Moon Tell Me Truth: Exhibition of Art and Poems by the Children of Gaza, Palestine has been organised by the Hands Up Project, who seek to support artistic expression amongst the children in Palestine.

The exhibition pieces have been made by children heavily affected by conflict and displacement, many of whom have since died in the conflict.

Surprisingly, what they have created reflects collective hope.

There will be a family friendly free launch for the exhibition on the 19th of June, from 6 to 8pm at the Creative Stirling Venue on 44 King Street, where there will be readings and community gathering.

During the exhibition, copies of the book Moon Tell Me Truth will be available to purchase in the Creative Stirling store, as well as other books, with the proceeds going to the work of the Hands Up Project in Palestine.

The Hands Up Project will also be organising two other events in Stirling, including a live link up with Palestinian children in July, and a creative writing workshop led by Stirling’s Makar Kevin P Gilday.
