If your year so far has been anything like mine, a gooey, salty, rich brownie is needed. Should I be feeling my feelings? Yes, but I would prefer a peanut butter pretzel brownie, so here we go.
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Skill level ★★
Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 300g chocolate
- 275g peanut butter
- 280g caster sugar
- 50g cocoa powder
- 100g self-raising flour
- 50g pretzels
- 100g honeycomb pieces
- 2 decent pinches of flaky salt
Method
Step One
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a 9×13-inch tin with parchment paper.
Step Two
Over a low heat, combine 175g of peanut butter, 150g of chocolate, and all the sugar until combined into a smooth paste; it will look awful and taste amazing.
Step Three
Remove from the heat, and let cool for a few minutes.
Step Four
In a separate bowl, combine the flour and cocoa powder, and add in the cooled chocolate mixture.
Step Five
Beat in the eggs, and fold in the honeycomb pieces and remaining chocolate chopped into chunks.
Step Six
Pour the mixture into the lined tin, swirl on the remaining peanut butter, place the pretzels, and sprinkle on the flaky salt on top.
Step Seven
Bake for 30 minutes, eat the same day or the pretzels will go soggy.
