Pedestrian knocked down by car in Stirling

A woman has been knocked down by a car on Cowane Street in Stirling today.

The incident occurred just outside Pizza Hut while the woman was using the zebra crossing.

In a statement a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called around 12:30pm on Saturday 4 December to a report of a collision involving a car and a female pedestrian on Cowane Street, Stirling.”

“The woman is being treated at the scene by paramedics, with enquiries ongoing.”

There “does not appear to be serious injuries”

Eye witnesses said a grey Mercedes was involved in the collision, and an ambulance, police van and police car were at the scene.

There was some traffic disruption but the road is now clear.
