McGill’s requires identification for student tickets

1 min read

From Aug. 1, McGill’s, parent company of Midland Bluebird and operator of the UniLink, requires passengers to show valid ID to purchase a ticket at the discounted student price

The bus company says that it will only accept IDs that are issued by an accredited college or university and include a photo and expiry date.

Stirling students can upload their university identification to the Midland Bluebird app to purchase tickets from the UniLink Student Zone. They must seek to re-verify their student status for each academic year.

McGill’s recommends that students have their physical ID on hand to show to drivers if asked.
