BBC Radio 2 in the park begins on Friday 11 September until Sunday 13 September in Stirling City Park. Tickets are still available to purchase at Ticketmaster and should be downloaded before arriving. Stirling Council have released travel advice prior to the music event to ensure music fans arrive safely.
Plan Ahead And Leave Early
Roads are expected to face congestion and traffic jams are suspected due to the influx of people travelling into Stirling.
Stirling Council have commented that “plans are being put in place to minimise disruption to residents during the event, including a comprehensive traffic management plan, and there will be regular engagement with the local community in the surrounding area of the event.”
Road Closures
Stirling Council are recommending that “If you are travelling from Glasgow or Edinburgh, exit at Junction 9 on the M9/M80 (Bannockburn Interchange/Pirnhall Roundabout) and then follow the signs for Stirling.
If you are travelling south on the A9, exit at Junction 11 on the M9 (Keir Roundabout). Take the exit for Bridge of Allan and then follow the signs for Stirling.
Only exit at Junction 10 (Craigforth Roundabout) of the M9. If you are using the drop-off/pick-up point at Castleview Park and Ride.
If you are not going to the event and heading to Stirling avoid Junction 10 of the M9 . Use alternative routes into Stirling, following any signed diversions.”
Car Parking
Car parking is available to book on the official parking site. There is limited availability and Stirling Council recommends that you use the public transport available instead of driving.

Scotrail Train Disruptions
Due to engineering disruptions, Scotrail trains will not be running between certain stations so you should check the official Scotrail website to plan your journey.
There are no direct trains between Edinburgh and Stirling on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13. People travelling into Stirling will need to change stations between Croy or Glasgow Queen Street to complete their journey. Extra carriages will be added to all trains to compensate for this.
Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus service will run to Stirling on all three days. Book your seat via the official shuttle bus website.
Walking or Cycling
There are lots of signs around the local area to guide people. Stirling train station is a one mile walk from Stirling park. Free cycle storage is available and the locations are listed on the Radio 2 in the park Stirling app alongside other live updates.
