Student Union by-election called for April

1 min read

The Student Union has called a by-election for April to fill the sabbatical position, VP Education.

Nominations open at 9 a.m. on Monday 11 April with potential candidates having until 12 p.m. on Tuesday 19 April to put themselves forward for the position.

This by-election comes off the back of the Student Union elections earlier this month which a Student Union spokesperson has confirmed as “the lowest turnout in recent years for the Spring elections”.

In the Spring elections not a single candidate ran for the post which is currently occupied by Calum Brown.

“We are not aware of one of the Sabbatical Officer positions having no candidates in the main election in recent history.”
