Mondo Shop restocks “HALLOWEEN” Vinyl

Last night, Mondo Music and Death Waltz Recording Co. re-released their HALLOWEEN: 40th Anniversary Edition – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP. This vinyl features the iconic score to the 1978 film by director John Carpenter.

“The soundtrack is the “mono” version we produced for the film’s 40th anniversary, with the original film music stems transferred, sequenced, mixed and mastered by Alan Howarth”, stated MONDO.

The soundtrack, which is pressed on 140 gram vinyl, is housed in a gatefold sleeve with artwork by Mike Saputo. It is available in new colourways for 2024 – Candy Corn Vinyl and Shape Galaxy Vinyl.

The first LP album of HALLOWEEN was released in 1982. It was a stereo remix of the original 16 masters by Alan Howarth with instructions from John Carpenter to re-mix the tracks to represent the best sound of the music, and not necessarily commit to match the music as it was for the film.

In this 40th anniversary edition, Howarth reassembled the score in chronological order as it was placed in the original film. Listeners can be transported back into Haddonfield on a musical journey of one of the most iconic scores in horror history.
