Today at 9.08 a.m., the Stirling Students’ Union announced that Calum Brown informed the Trustee Board of his resignation, following his re-election to the post on 26 April.
He had previously served as VP Education for the 2021/2022 academic year.
Of his resignation, Calum stated: “It has been an absolute pleasure serving as the Vice President Education at the Stirling Students’ Union for 2021/2022 academic year.
“It was also a privilege to be re-elected by the students in the recent Students’ Union Election for the 2022/2023 academic year”
He also noted that “in the best interests of my career and future, I now feel that the time is right to move on.”
The Students’ Union have assured that Calum will continue to assist during this handover month, before finishing his role at the end of June.
They also stated that “the team will be ensuring that the key aspects of the role will be covered across the team and will look towards hosting a by-election in the autumn semester to fill the vacancy.”
