Stirling’s The Wee Wolf Bistro offers free Christmas dinner for those in need

2 mins read

The Wee Wolf Bistro in Stirling city centre is offering a free warm dinner on Christmas Day for those homeless and in need.

On their social media, they said they would be open from 11:00 to 16:00 to offer a warm drink, food and company. The aim is for a no-questions-asked setup to reach everyone who needs it in the city.

People across Stirling have been donating money to buy turkeys with support spreading far across local social media commending the cafe’s efforts.

With seating allowing up to 45 people at one time, a small team of volunteers will serve food from noon.

There will be a full turkey dinner including all the trimmings; stuffing, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese, gravy and pigs in blankets.

For vegetarians, The Wee Wolf Bistro is offering a brie tart and for the vegans a sweet potato, onion and spinach tart.

This is followed by Christmas pudding and brandy custard with tea and coffee. The cafe is encouraging all to spread the word of their offering to anyone who needs it.

The Wee Wolf Bistro can be found at the top of King Street at Number 40.

The work the new cafe has done has not gone unnoticed with their all-you-can-eat breakfast during freshers week for students and an effort to be carbon neutral. The Wee Wolf Bistro has recently been longlisted for the Stirling Business Awards 2024 in the New Business of the Year category.
