Body identified as missing Stirling student

A body found in the Firth of Forth two weeks ago has been identified as Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir, a Stirling student who was recently reported missing.

Rodwhan Ali Al Montsir was last seen on July 29, at Bridgehaugh Road in Stirling, which is next to university accommodation John Forty’s Court.

His body was found off Preston Island on August 5, but has only just been identified. 

Police Scotland recently issued an appeal for information on his whereabouts.

A Police Spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can now confirm that the body of the man found in the Firth of Forth off Preston Island on 5 August 2020, has been identified as that of 41-year-old Rodhwan Ali Al Montsir from Stirling. The death is being treated us unexplained pending a post mortem examination and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.”
