Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is a single-player survival horror videogame that is being developed and published by Saber Interactive.
The game was announced seemingly out of nowhere, and little was shown in terms of gameplay, however the opening cinematics and brief displays of gameplay show that the series’ iconic gore-fueled horror is amplified to eleven.
Most excitingly, Doug Bradley, the original actor for Hellraiser’s most iconic demon Pinhead, is returning to voice hell’s most brutal priest. The actor hasn’t played the role in over twenty years.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is focused on telling a faithfully disturbing story in the cult classic franchises world. The story revolves around Aidan, a man that has to journey into hell to save his girlfriend Sunny who was taken by the demonic Cenobites.
To save her, he will have to use a mysterious puzzle box as well as anything he can get his hands on. All the while, he must confront Pinhead and his disturbing congregation.
The original author and director of Hellraiser, Clive Barker, has also returned to produce Hellraiser: Revival and from everything the reveal trailer showed, it’s got all the disturbing sexual content you’d expect out of a Clive Barker production.
No release date was given for Hellrasier: Revival, however executive producer Nenad Tomic claimed on an Xbox Wire blog post that the game is “closer than you think” and that more information will be given “later this year.”
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
