Punk Legends IDLES Announce New Music For Upcoming Darren Aranofsky Film

1 min read

Bristol punks IDLES are up to a task quite different from their usual musical output. The band recently confirmed that they have made four original songs for Darren Aranofsky’s new film Caught Stealing, as well as helping to create the film’s score alongside Rob Simonsen.

To promote their collaboration the band released the first song off of the upcoming soundtrack, Run Rabbit. The tight track is bursting with energy, harkening back to the band’s early work with lead vocalist Joe Talbot’s scratchy shouts elevating the intense track to new heights.

IDLES were the first choice of director Darren Aranosky as he sought a band to inhabit the wild sound of New York in the 90’s.

Caught Stealing focuses on baseball player Hank Thompson(Austin Butler) who after taking care of his neighbour’s(Matt Smith) cat, is plunged into a world of crime.

Caught Stealing releases at the end of August, the soundtrack will be released to streaming platforms on the same day.
