Salt River Shakedown ‘Twice As Shy’ Review: Funky and Memorable ★★★★☆

1 min read

Salt River Shakedown (SRS) are back at it, the funky Glasweigan quartet have delivered their most solid release yet with Twice As Shy

With a string of singles dating back to 2019, the lads have slowly built themselves up as pillars in Glasgow’s local scene. Known primarily for their use of funk elements compared to traditional rock stylings, Salt River Shakedown have been giving Glasgow the shake its needed for over half a decade now.

It’s hard to believe that after all this time they’re still improving but it’s true, Twice As Shy is evidence of this. The track kicks off with an electrifying riff that’s backed by punchy drums, the perfectly crafted soundscape draws the listener in, begging them to try and keep up with the tracks breakneck pace.

Twice As Shy is just another underrated classic in Salt River Shakedown’s ever growing repertoire of tunes.

You can catch SRS later this month at The Garage, tickets can be bought here.
