When it comes to protein powders, the list is endless. There is just about something for everyone. However, when it comes to finding a vegan protein powder, it can be a little tricky.
The main common complaint about vegan protein powders is their taste and texture. This is due to plant protein having an earthy taste to them as well as a gritty texture.
Form Nutrition Performance Protein won Best Vegan Protein in the Men’s Fitness and Women’s Fitness Nutrition Awards 2022.
Here’s why, if you are looking for a new protein powder, you should try Form.

Form’s CEO and co-founder Damien Soong said the company was founded “to elevate nutrition to be more than just a shake after the gym, rather how you nourish your whole self. And because we couldn’t find a vegan protein that tasted good!”
“The main feedback we get from customers and judges is the great taste. Coupled with 30g of protein per serving and added ingredients like curcumin and digestive enzymes, it’s the perfect post-workout.”
It comes in five flavours including Vanilla, Chocolate Hazelnut, Chocolate Peanut, Banoffee and Tiramisu. A scoop of your desired flavour with 350ml of almond milk is the perfect combination.
For those who aren’t vegan, there are still reasons why you should consider switching to a plant-based protein.
Soong said: “The most popular reason customers cite when switching is the lack of bloating and ease on the gut, many people have issues with whey protein. Of course, there are also the sustainability benefits, compostable packaging and more!”

However, Form does more than just make great-tasting vegan protein powders. As Soong states: “Thinking about nutrition is a luxury that many do not have, we felt it was important to be able to give back, hence the Form Feeding Fund and the B Corp ethos of ‘business as a force for good’ resonating with us so strongly.”
Form launched the Form Feeding Fund in 2017 to help provide food to patients and those that accompany them to Basang Hospital in Gambia. The fund means that every product purchased helps support those in need.
The Fund’s success means that now support extends not only to food, but also pharmaceuticals and transport for patients.
As well as this, Form is also a B Corp company which means that they meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance. They focus on putting people and the planet above profit.
The company is verified climate neutral with 100 per cent plastic-free, compostable packaging (including no plastic scoop) to be as sustainable as possible.

The only downside to this protein is that it is a little pricier than others on the market. However, with a subscribe and save scheme and student discount through Student Beans it is well worth the try.
They also offer a range of other plant-based protein powders as well as nootropics and supplements.
