Brig’s Advent Calendar: Christmas coffee in Stirling

2 mins read

Pumpkin spice season is often the highlight in many coffee lovers’ calendars – but Christmas coffee has a lot to offer too. Here are Stirling’s best spots for seasonal drinks, gifts and more.

The Book Nook

The lovely folks at the Book Nook have mastered the seasonal drink. I always look forward to hearing their new specials each month, and this winter’s did not disappoint.

The cafe/bookshop combo is famous locally for their impressive hot chocolates, providing an option for non-coffee drinkers (hats off to anyone without a worrying caffeine addiction in this day and age). The peanut butter and butterscotch flavours sound unique and the perfect way to cosy up on a winter day.

Don’t worry, there are still coffees if you need a daily cup or two like me. Chestnut and caramel and French toast are the current specials – delicious.

This snug place on Baker Street always has an amazing selection of home bakes, including *the* taste of Christmas: gingerbread. Why not pair a biscuit with a gingerbread latte for maximum flavour?

I do love a PSL, but the warm and sweetness of ginger might just take the top spot. The cafe also offers a variety of hot chocolates and homemade marshmallows.

Coffee at home and gifts

Maybe you prefer to be a bit more savvy and make your coffee at home – Stirling’s cafes still have you covered.

HBW sells refill bean tins for £7, plus you get a takeaway drink for free. Stirling Coffee, the Burgh’s sister shop, also does refills and small bottles of flavoured syrup to customise your at-home drinks.

These all would make the perfect stocking-filler for the coffee nerd in your life, or as a little treat for yourself. If you feel more generous, Stirling Coffee also offer a variety of accessories, cups and brewers.
